[Histonet] How to prevent bubbling in pressure cooker for immunohistochemistry procedure

Since the main purpose of using a pressure cooker for HIER is the rapid and
reliable pre-treatment of sections while PREVENTING boiling and potential
tissue detachment, you really shouldn’t be experiencing any bubbling. If
you are, then  your PC isn’t sealed adequately  and the only way to fix
that problem is to replace the gasket or find another way to tighten the
lid..  I’ve never heard of anything that  you can put inside of a PC that
can change the way it pressurizes,  so I’ll be following this thread to see
if anyone else can contribute.

Hi there all

Can anybody please tell me if they have heard of or  perhaps know of a
substance that can be placed in the pressure cooker during the antigen
retrieval process for immunohistochemistry.  This prevents excessive
bubbling and lifting up of sections.  I did somehow come across such info a
while back, but seem to have lost it.  Many thanks.
