Hi Gudrun,

We use the Calbiochem antibody Cat No DP02 on the Bond Platform (see below)

We originally compared it to the Novocastra's antibody and found it superior

ANTIGEN NAME: BK Virus
OTHER NAMES: SV40 T Antigen
Clone: PAb416
Isotype: IgG2a

DESCRIPTION: Monoclonal antibody to the ~94 kDa SV40 large T antigen.

STORAGE CONDITIONS: 4-8oC undiluted

SUPPLIER: Calbiochem DP02
PROCEDURE:

Methodology: HRP-POLYMER Working Dilution: Bond:	1/700 (ER2)
Special Conditions: EDTA Heat induced epitope retrieval required
CONTROL TISSUE: BK Virus Control

Inbuilt Controls
CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE:
In immunocompromised patients, BK can cause a morphologically manifest renal infection with cytopathic signs and functional impairment. In native and transplanted kidneys, BK virus is found in areas of interstitial nephritis.
