[Histonet] PAS for basement membrane

Hi all,

I'm having a problem with my PAS stain.  My pathologist says that glycogen and fungus stain beautifully but basement membranes are pale.  We are using 0.5% periodic acid for 10 minutes and schiff's for 25 minutes followed by 5 min rinse in warm/hot water.  Any thoughts?  Thank you in advance!
