Hello Histonetters,
 
If anyone out in Histoland is willing to share a perspective regarding this CAP guidline question and its application in the histology lab I would greatly appreciate it.  If there is a publication or reference available that would be equally appreciated!

Has the laboratory evaluated its specimen containers to ensure that they do not contribute to analytic interference in the assays to be performed?
