Thanks Jack, what's the difference between the celestine blue w/alum hematoxylin and the Sanderson's?  What's the difference between the Sanderson's and the Masson's Goldner's?  Have you tried the celestine blue stain?

Why not use Sanderson's Rapid Bone Stain with Van Gieson picrofuchsin? You can get the Sanderson's and one or all of three counterstains for this particular kind of staining in a kit from Dorn and Hart Microedge (www.dornandhart.com <http://www.dornandhart.com/> ).
