[Histonet] Staining plant tissues

Hello Histonetters,
I am looking for a good stain for plant tissue.  A couple of years ago we
tried Johansen's quadruple stain as described in Gray's Handbook of Basic
Microtechnique, but we were not satisfied with the results.  We fixed the
tissues in FAA (95% ethanol, glacial acetic acid, formalin).
Thank you in advance for any advice you can give me.
