[Histonet] bouins fixed mouse tissue

Helen,
As you probably know, mouse tissue is much more
delicate than human tissue.  If you have control over
the fixation process, I would cut down the initial
fixation time in Bouin's solution.  Perhaps, try 6-12
hours.  

For the tissue that you have already processed, soak
in a tween 80 and water mixture of 1:10 for a minimum
of 10 minutes, followed by a water wash to remove
tween, then soak on a ice tray.  This works
beautifully for over-processed tissue, skin, uterus,
ect.

PS: Tween 20 can be substituted or a similar
surfactant.
