Dear Techs, Our lab is noticing that our small bx.'s ie gastric mainly .
After they have been sectioned, and we need to go back for add't
sections for s.stains, recuts, IHC- the tissue has swelled up, and is
white. The Pathologists haven't noticed anything. We have formalin,
penfix, 80%, 95%,100% on the VIP--so we know they are getting
dehydrated. We don't leave them on the iceplate to cause water swelling.
Any ideas.
Thanks Linda- Seton Hosp. Austin,Tx.
