[OCRcommunications] Exciting Mentor Opportunity: Clinical Research Foundations Program

Dear Research Community,

The Office of Clinical Research (OCR) is thrilled to announce the launch of the next phase of our Clinical Research Training Program at UT Southwestern Medical Center: The Foundations Level Mentoring Program! The Foundations Level Mentoring Program is intended to accompany the Clinical Research Foundations Training that new learners are assigned to complete through the online CITI course as part of the onboarding process. Some of the topics covered by the Foundations Level Mentoring Program include:


  *   Creating a Mentoring Relationship and Goal Setting
  *   Data System Management at UTSW
  *   Study Protocols and Informed Consent
  *   Adverse Events and Reporting
  *   Project Management of Clinical Research
  *   Ethical Conduct of Research

We will be reaching out with further details about the mentoring program itself over the next few weeks. In the meantime, we are seeking volunteers to act as Mentors to participate in our Foundations Level Mentoring Program who have at least 3 years of combined clinical research experience. We will start to review applications over the next few weeks and reach out once all applications have been reviewed.
