[Histonet] Hale vs. Alcianblue

Dear all!

Has anyone informations, if the Hale-stain (colloidal iron or Mueller-Mowry)
can be substituted by Alcianblue-stain in any application?

 

We only use the Hale-stain for renal cellcarcinoma for differentiation
between chromophobe and clearcell carcinoma. And I’d like to know, if this
is really necessary.
