[Histonet] Problems with Melan A staining

One of my histotech friends is having issues with Melan A staining. Using MA5-27949 Melan A antibody from Thermofisher, the negative Kidney tissue control was stained strongly positive while the positive melanoma tissue control was stained weakly positive. He couldn’t figure out why after several tries to reduce background. Can someone give me some suggestions? Thank you very much!
