Having used tape coverslips for over 20 years previous to moving out of the clinical lab I can say that I have rarely had a problem with them. They are efficient because they dry so quickly so they can be filed efficiently. Important for a Lean operation. The key to success with tape coverslips is to use good quality xylene ( not recycled ) and make sure you use enough xylene (do not skimp).

This is the only one that can be integrated with our stainer, so we know we'll have to get a standalone unit and transfer slides to a new rack.
