Hello everyone:

I'm wonder what your protocol is for cutting formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded bone marrow core biopsy specimens? Do you cut a limited number of slides upfront and then go back to the block if the pathologist requests histochemical stains or immunohistochemical tests? We are implementing a protocol today where we will cut "15" slides upfront; 3 H&Es at different levels and 12 unstains for potential histochemical stains and/or IHC tests. Are we crazy?

Thank you, and I hope everyone is doing well.

Richard
