Position Overview:
EDUCATION: • High school diploma or equivalent education/experience required. 
LICENSURES & CERTIFICATIONS: • American Society of Clinical Pathologist - ASCP preferred. • Certified Histotechnologist - CN-HISTO preferred. 
EXPERIENCE: • Experience in a histopathology laboratory as typically acquired in one-year of one the job training required. 
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE: • Knowledge of software applications (such as MS Word and Excel) required. • Basic knowledge of English language, grammar and composition. • Ability to identify problems, prioritize and problem solve. • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. • Training skills required. • Ability to maintain levels of inventory to assure availability. • Basic math skills demonstrating accuracy and attention to details. • Basic keyboarding and computer skills. • Ability to gather data to complete reports on a timely basis. • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
