You will need to make sure all pertinent SOPs and EOPs are followed, as well as all safety guidelines/protocols. Just because it is not human tissue doesn't mean that it can't have its share of nasties.

I don't see a problem with a research setting. If it was patient care, CLIA would need to inspect the set up in the person home. The same goes for our pathologists who read slide at home.
