[Histonet] MMR Negative controls

Good Morning HistoNet,

Would anyone be willing to share what they use for control tissue for MMR testing? Finding negative expressing tumor is becoming more difficult for us to find and we're wondering if there is an alternate negative tissue that would be acceptable.

NordiQC recommends using Tonsil as a positive tissue control and Colon Adenocarcinoma that has a loss of expression as a negative tissue control for all four antibodies (MLH1, MSH2, MSH6, PMS2). Stromal cells in the negative tissue control should have positive nuclear staining and serve as a positive internal control. NordiQC doesn't have any recommendations for alternative tissue to use as a negative control.

Anyone doing anything differently?

Thanks,

Scott
