[Histonet] retraction of mounting medium

Has anyone experienced retraction of mounting medium from the edges of the
slides (not yet reaching tissue but the retraction could conceivably
continue until tissue is compromised) after long term (greater than 3
years) storage using recommended mounting media for automatic
coverslippers?  How have they dealt with this problem if it has occurred.
