[Histonet] Tissue Tek Prisma Model 6130

Any experience-based resolution on the problem of the touch screen pad/monitor of the Tissue Tek Prisma Stainer 6130 wherein the screen turns black while a program is running. The program continues to run even though the screen is not illuminated.

I thought I'd throw this out there in case someone knows a way to resolve it before I call for repair. I'm still able to use the stainer by placing sticker labels on the screen so I know where to press :-)
