We have a Milestone Histos 3 Microwave processor, and we process our prostate bx's and bladder bx's between 2 sponges. The sponges are moist with 10% formalin to keep the tissue from drying out. The bx's don't move around or get tangled. It works very well.

Our group puts the biopsies between sponges - they don't move around or get tangled and we process them with the small biopsies. Good results.

wrap the tissue in lens paper?????Do you process them on a biopsy (short) run?????Our bx's always seem to be less than optimal, but we do not have problems with other small bx's.
