I can only speak from a path lab point of view and from reading the IQCP guidelines it doesn't allow you to use these new measures for path. Path is exempt. and in path I've always used controls for each test. My understanding is in some specialties they are going to let them make individualized qc measures if they want to do  those risk assessments etc. I'm still going over it but this is the just of what I see so far. Hope this helps.
