Sorry I left out a few details.  These paps are for non-gyn smears mostly from FNA collection.



I am continuing to have a problem with Pap stains done by hand:



1.       We rehydrate 25 seconds in saline and straight into alcohol.  Thicker areas are ok, but thinner areas appear to be air dried......



2.       Red cell ghosts are NOT clearing

I believe there are quite a few Histology labs also performing cytoprep work and I will appreciate any thoughts you may have.
