I forgot ...
It's easy to understand when a slide glass is greasy free. It's enough to put on it a drop of distilled water.
If it spreads on the glass it's OK.
Usually the slides are coming already clean from the factory, but I don't trust in that.
There is nothing more depressing as to see a slice to detach from a slide through a process.

I think that the use of Chromic Acid for cleaning the glassware is currently declined. Do you keep using it? Could you suggest me a non-comercial alternative?
