Let the eye soak in ice water before cutting for a very long time.

Subject: [Histonet] Rodent eye paraffin microtomy
I have a study coming up where obtaining perfect lens histology is critical. We do a pretty good job routinely, but since the lens is of interest, I would appreciate any tricks and techniques that can help us improve our paraffin lens histology within intact rodent eyes.
Thanks,
Jackie O'
