"Leica's suggestion was to quit using wax clean.?"

Wow! This is an "absolute first" that I just do NOT understand.
The lines after the last paraffin wax will contain remnants of it and although at the end of the program those lines will have a temperature above the melting point of the paraffin, when the first station "hits the lines" that reagent will be at room temperature and could clog the lines, so I just do not understand, nor share that "solution".
It seems to me that the L:eica representative that gave you that advise should reconsider, or was it the simplest solution "because you already bought the instrument and that is your problem"?
Check before you follow that advise.

Subject: [Histonet] Leica ASP300s

Good Morning,
Has anyone else experienced problems with the wax clean cycle on the Leica ASP300s processor? Ours will alarm and shut down during the wax clean program  due to overpressure error. No problems during processing but this was a feature we liked to use and Leica's suggestion was to quit using wax clean................
Thank you,
Gale
