Nicole,

I work in a dermpath lab in New York State where regulations are so
unbelievable that I often wake up in night sweats, and I can think of no
reason to need a garbage disposal.  We've certainly never been told we need
one or cited for not having one, and believe me, they would if they thought
it was necessary.
