Aren't you required to have the lab under negative pressure with respect to the corridor?

I believe it is a fire law.  Even floors that are open, have to have a door at
some end near the elevators.

I suspect that it's not explicitly spelled out, but I'd caution you,
if you build a lab without doors, you have to make provisions to
provide food and water for the HT's imprisoned inside. It's easier to
put in doors.
