Once I tried one and it was harder, reacted less readily with xylene, and tended to peel-off easier. You could ask for a sample and try it.

Hello 

Does anyone use a non-Sakura coverslip film on your Sakura coverslipper?  My
boss handed me a flyer from a company that sells film and it's a lot less
money than the Sakura brand.
