Jon,

I have a spreadsheet that I have all of my procedures listed with a document control number that is also in the footer of the procedure. Like "QC-Histo-01-V1". That shows that it is a Quality Control Procedure for Histology and the procedure number is 1 and it is version 1. I create a hyperlink to the procedure. There is also a column that has the procedure name and a column for the date with the next column for when reviewed. If you'd like I can send you an example of what I've done. I make the on line procedures "read only" so they can't be changed unless they have the appropriate security.

Subject: [Histonet] Document Control

Does anyone in this group have any good ideas, either software or procedural that will do a good job of document control.
 Specifically:

1. Controlling who has access to editing and copies.
2. An automated review reminder process.
3. Electronic or online review and/or signature process.

Thanks,
Jon
