I can't speak to its functionality, but per its MSDS it is extremely flammable (FP= 45F) and would, thus be considered a hazardous waste by the EPA.    EPA's regulations for all "solid" hazardous waste (which includes liquids) produced by healthcare facilities and others require that they be handled (including monitoring, storage, and disposal) in accordance with EPA's requirements, and specifically state that hazardous wastes generated in the (healthcare) laboratory "cannot be disposed into drains." Since Micro-ClearT is not classified as hazardous by EPA, it  is drain-disposable under its regulations.
