Equitech Bio is definitely the way to go if you want to save on serum
costs.  We buy all of our serum from them.  Their serum is the same
quality as Jackson Immuno--we compared the two in an
immunofluorescence experiment and both worked well.
They have a minimum order of $100 and heat inactivation costs about
$10 more than the listed price.  We aliquot the extra and freeze it at
-20C, it lasts us about a year.
