Subject: [Histonet] Freezing human skin with dry ice methanol?
Hi All,
I have a question for anyone out there that is working with
frozen tissue. I have a clinical lab that I am working with to obtain
skin
biopsies and they wants to freeze skin biopsies with dry-ice methanol
instead of the dry-ice isopentane, Will this be a problem for me
sectioning and doing IHC for cytokines and membrane bound antibodies? I
do
not like the idea of this but I don't have any information on if it
would
be deleterious to freezing or do IHC this way. Anyone have any thoughts
our suggestions?
Thanks
Jamie
