  I have to agree with Patsy...although, just because a person has passd the exam and becomes certified (lots of book smart people out there), doesn't mean they are good (hands on application) at what they do....I guess it would have to be up to your client as to whether or not they prefer that the tech is certified or not....they might only care that the tech can do the job and do it well....good luck
