Anna,
In some cases, if the Pathologist knows the IHC will take another day
to complete, he/she will issue a preliminary report and state that a
final will be issued upon review of the IHC. Most of our IHC is done
same day. For FISH, FLOW and Cytogenetics that take longer, we issue
addendum reports.

On cases that require further studies at a reference lab.....do you
report Flow, Cytogenetic, FISH, HPV, etc.. results on the original
surgical/cytology report (with an addendum) or do you send a
completely
separate report with the reference lab results?

Thank you for your input.
