Doesn't sensitivity mean that it will stain all of 'it', even that which
isn't 'it'. Specificity means that it only stains 'it' but sometimes not all
of 'it'.

Subject: [Histonet] Sensitivity and specificity

Histonetters,

Can anyone help with a concise definition of "sensitivity" and "specificity"
as it relates to immunohistochemical reactions.

Thanks and regards, Laurie.
