You can throw in a protein block if you want, we usually use casein.

I know you are not supposed to have to worry about endogenous biotin 
any longer with this detection system, however, I have had problems 
with endogenous biotin with certain types of tissue such as 
bronchial. I have been using only a peroxide block as is suggested by 
the manufacturer.
