Heather,
it depends on the number of recuts and specials. Before I became a PA 
trainee, I was doing everything also and it was tough, not going to deny it. 
I had to prioritize tasks and let the paperwork go until the end of the day 
or do it while the slides were in the oven or staining. Often, I came in 
over the weekend to catch up on paperwork.
    I was told that hiring another person was out of the question, until I 
ended up in the hospital with heart problems. It got their attention, but I 
don't recommend it.
    I would prioritize and do the best you can do. Don't run yourself into 
the ground, no job is worth sacrificing your health. Trust me, I know.
