We currently have both instruments and the Benchmark is used for
clinical and the Discovery for research. The benefit of using the
Discovery: it is a more open system allowing freedom to program both
IHC, FISH, and ISH protocols using your own probes, antibodies,
secondary antibodies, and reagents. We even have the TUNEL assay
programmed on our Discovery. Hope this helps.

Subject: [Histonet] Ventana Discovery vs. Ventana Benchmark. .

I am currently a Ventana Benchmark customer and use the machine for IHC
of
commercial and novel antibody characterization. I am exploring the
purchase
of a Ventana Discovery and would like to hear from people that have
experience with both. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
