Do you leave the covers off the coplin jars.
I found that pressure builds up in the coplin jar if covered and this could 
cause your problem with boiling over.
I use plastic coplin jars or the 250 ml tissue tek staining "boxes" without 
covers and have not experienced a boiling over incident.
