You could look at performing tunel in which you would need to purchase a
kit or you could stain immunohistochemically for cleaved caspase 3,
which is a marker of apoptosis.  The heat should not affect the
detection of apoptosis in fixed tissue.  To induce apoptosis in cell
culture you can place the cells at 36°C for 30 minutes, but you need to
control the temp.

I need a protocol for apoptosis for paraffin embedded tissue. Has
incubating
paraffin sections at 50 degrees for a certain length of time   any
effect on
the out come of the apoptosis staining? Thanks.
