Contact Bright Instrument Company www.brightinstruments.com They have a
knife sharpening service and also supply blade holders for a variety of
disposable blades, however the best of these is designed for their own brand
of cryostat. They can also advise you.

You will know when you need to sharpen your blades because of deteriorating
section quality. You should have a second knife in reserve and sharpen them
alternately. If you decide to retain the solid blades, it would be
worthwhile investigating knife sharpeners.

Subject: [Histonet] Question on disposable blade holder of cryotome

Hello, Histonetfriends,

We bought a cryotome with blade holder that is not for disposable blade. How
much will it cost to buy a disposable blade holder? Anybody konw how often
do we need to sharpen the blade? We don't have a sharpener. Anybody know
where can we sharpen the blade and how much does it cost? Thanks everyone.
