[Histonet] slide labeling system or software

Hello fellow histo folks,
 
Would anyone have good recomendations for a slide labeling system or  
software?  I recently saw in the Fisher catalog a unit that cost about  $650.00 and 
incorporates using bar codes.  Has anyone used this and is it  worth the money? 
 Is a bar code labeling faster than using computer program  and printing 
labels?  Any recomendations for labeling H+E slides is  appreciated.
