WOT!  Now Mike, don't you know that it is the Brits & the Americans who 
are the ones that DO have it RIGHT!  It's the rest of the world that is 
all goofy with that silly old metric system.  You wouldn't even dream of 
asking your mate to meet you at the Pub after work for a few "473 
mL'ers" now would you?  That would be blasphemy!      ;-)

I agree with you that one should not try the igniting of wet gun powder 
with 100 proof alcohol (ethanol).  Such a terrible waste of good sipping 
spirits.
