Did you stop to think that your patient just might be positive for
glycogen?

Subject: [Histonet] Diastase dilemma
Bizarre things happen here all the time, but this is REALLY BIZARRE!
We'll do a PAS w/ diastase and our control tissue will be digested but the
patient tissue won't be. They are mounted on the same slide!
The next day we will run the stain again and we tried turning the slide
upside-down in the Coplin jar. Same problem.
We mixed fresh diastase solution and tried again. Same problem.
Tomorrow, we may run it again and it will work fine.
What could be going on?
I'm perplexed!
