[Histonet] Cytology from formalin

Even though this is off label I am interested in hearing input about producing a ThinPrep pap from cells collected in formalin.

I suppose spinning it down and doing a Cytolyt wash followed by transfer to Preservcyt would work.

Has anyone tried this or have insight into whether the fixation and pap staining would vary substantially from cells collected in alcohol.
