Subject: JUST RELEASED! FY15 DOD LCRP and CRMRP Program Announcements

This e-mail is to notify the research community of the recently released Fiscal Year 2015 (FY15) funding opportunities for the Department of Defense (DOD) Lung Cancer Research Program (LCRP) and the Clinical Rehabilitative Medical Research Program (CRMRP) managed by the office of Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP).

Lung Cancer Research Program

Concept Award

Clinical and Rehabilitative Medicine Research Program

Vision Prosthesis Pilot Study Award

Detailed descriptions of the funding opportunity, evaluation criteria, and submission requirements can be found in the Program Announcements. The Program Announcements are available electronically for downloading from the Grants.gov website (http://www.grants.gov<http://www.grants.gov/>), the CDMRP website (http://cdmrp.army.mil/funding/prgdefault.shtml) and the electronic Biomedical Research Application Portal (eBRAP) (https://eBRAP.org).

All CDMRP funding opportunities, both recently and previously released, are available on the CDMRP website (http://cdmrp.army.mil<http://cdmrp.army.mil/>).

Subsequent notifications will be sent when additional funding opportunities are released. A listing of all open CDMRP funding opportunities can be obtained on the Grants.gov website by performing a basic search using CFDA Number 12.420.

Submission is a two-step process requiring both (1) pre-application submission through the electronic Biomedical Research Application Portal (eBRAP) (https://eBRAP.org/) and (2) application submission through Grants.gov (http://www.grants.gov/). Refer to the General Application Instructions, Section II.A. for registration and submission requirements for eBRAP and Grants.gov.

eBRAP is a multifunctional web-based system that allows PIs to submit their pre-applications electronically through a secure connection, to view and edit the content of their pre-applications and full applications, to receive communications from the CDMRP, and to submit documentation during award negotiations and period of performance. A key feature of eBRAP is the ability of an organization's representatives and PIs to view and modify the Grants.gov application submissions associated with them. eBRAP will validate Grants.gov application files against the specific Program Announcement/Funding Opportunity requirements and discrepancies will be noted in an email to the PI and in the Full Application Files tab in eBRAP. It is the applicant's responsibility to review all application components for accuracy as well as ensure proper ordering as specified in this Program Announcement/Funding Opportunity.

8 June 2015 * Announcement from the Simons Foundation

Dear Friend of SFARI:

Although the quality of autism research has never been higher, the transition from formal mentorship to independent faculty position remains a daunting task for many early-career researchers in the field.

To help support talented early-career scientists in autism at this critical stage, SFARI is pleased to announce its new Bridge to Independence Award<http://sfari.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=0d6ddf7dc1a0b7297c8e06618&id=b4f20b7850&e=39bfc96b2e>, a program aimed at supporting ongoing excellence in autism research by identifying promising scientists committed to the field and facilitating their transition to an independent research career at a U.S. academic institution.

Successful applicants will receive a commitment of $150,000 per year for three years, to be used for an autism-relevant project, activated upon assumption of a tenure-track professorship. The first class of eligible applicants will be senior postdoctoral fellows who intend to seek tenure-track faculty positions in 2015 or 2016.

The request for proposals will open 8 June 2015; first-stage proposals are due 28 August 2015.

Please contact us with administrative inquiries at grants at simonsfoundation.org<mailto:grants at simonsfoundation.org> or with scientific inquiries at sciencerfa at simonsfoundation.org<mailto:sciencerfa at simonsfoundation.org>.

Thank you, and we hope you will pass this announcement on to others in your research community.
