Good morning, research community,
We are excited to announce that the Clinical Research Foundations<https://www.utsouthwestern.edu/research/hrpp/training/clinical-research-training/> training curriculum has officially launched at UT Southwestern Medical Center!
Clinical Research Foundations is an introductory research training program which will be assigned at point of hire for all incoming clinical research staff to UT Southwestern. A list of job titles which will automatically be assigned this training can be found here<https://www.utsouthwestern.edu/research/hrpp/training/clinical-research-training/>. However, we encourage Departments to utilize this training to help orient all individuals involved in clinical research and anyone can take advantage of this training offering.
The onboarding training will be available online via the CITI program<https://about.citiprogram.org/> to allow new staff to complete it at their own pace and at a time convenient for departments. This platform also allows affiliate and existing staff to complete the training if they wish to do so. For staff who may not wish to complete the full onboarding training but would like to view the video presentations for further information about research committees, departments and resources, we have created a Clinical Research Foundations website<https://www.utsouthwestern.edu/research/hrpp/training/clinical-research-training/resources.html> where we host all of the video content, the Clinical Research Handbook, and tip sheets.
This program was developed in collaboration with the Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) and the Office of Clinical Research (OCR) with support from the UT Southwestern Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA). We thank you all for your support of researcher training at UT Southwestern Medical Center and welcome any feedback you may have on this new curriculum.
If you have any comments or queries, please check our FAQs page<https://www.utsouthwestern.edu/research/hrpp/training/clinical-research-training/faqs.html> or reach out to OCR at utsouthwestern.edu<mailto:OCR at utsouthwestern.edu>.
