We are currently using 3% Glutaraldehyde for fixation of eyes. The solution is phosphate buffered and stored at room temp. Recently, the glut is going bad (turning yellow, cloudy, glut coming out of solution) before the expiration time of 4 months. I've investigated other sources and discovered that most suppliers refrigerate their glut and store it in amber containers. I would like to know what other people are using for eye fixation in rodents and other larger animals. Thanks for all your help.
