[Histonet] IHC

We are completely separate from Histo and pretty much have been from the beginning. Our lab is still called IPOX, short for immunoperoxidase, so that tells you how long our lab has been around. We are a very large academic medical center and have 9 FTEs, 1 Supervisor, and 1 Technical Director (Ph.D) who works up all new antibodies and ISH probes. Our lab is directly adjacent to Histo and we need to be since Histo cuts/pulls all slides for IHC. Our IHC lab also performs DIF and Muscle biopsies on the day shift and we have a subset of our IHC techs that are trained on creating TMAs for our on-slide controls using the TMA Grand Master. It’s a fairly large operation.
