I believe Dan the Safety Man has covered this issue in the past.

I am proposing this question for a friend who is a new supervisor in a fairly active pathology lab.  She is not on Histonet.

Do any of you know of any OHSA or any other regulatory agencies regulations regarding re-using Biological Transport Bags which have been used for transporting tissue specimen containers to the pathology lab?  I have never re-used them in other labs I have worked at.  We have disposed of them in our Biological Waste receptacle.  I could only find information regarding blood-born pathogens in the OHSA guidelines.  Any references would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Best regards,
