What about VWR Light Duty Tissue Wipers 82003-820.  This is what we have on hand at the moment.  Very similar size box to Kimwipes.  Also, PathSUPPLY has a similar product.

We used to use phonebook pages cut in half, worked better than kimwipes, but phonebooks are hard to find these days.

I've worked at labs where they used tri-fold paper towels.  Wasteful, but they work.

Check Grainger?  Or Statlab?  I know there are other brands of industrial task wipes out there.

Gotta prevent those floaters!
